The IC693PBM201 is a solid-state communication module developed by GE Fanuc, specifically designed for integration with the manufacturer’s Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems. Known for its customizable architecture, the Series 90-30 PLC system allows users to assemble components tailored to diverse application needs—and the IC693PBM201 plays a critical role in enabling seamless connectivity: it facilitates data exchange between the host PLC and other nearby PLCs or industrial equipment, a key requirement in large-scale automation setups.

As a single-slot module, the IC693PBM201 occupies only one slot on a baseplate, supporting installation on 5-slot or 10-slot baseplates within the Series 90-30 system. It is fully compatible with CPU baseplates, expansion baseplates, and remote baseplates; however, a key installation note is that it must not be mounted in Slot 1 of any baseplate—this slot is typically reserved for the power supply module, a mandatory component for each baseplate’s operation in the PLC system.

Engineered for reliable performance, the IC693PBM201 operates within a safe temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and supports standard data communication rates, ensuring efficient data transfer and network communication.
